Civil War Homefront by Barbara Brackman

Oh, thank you Barbara Brackman for designing this collection: Civil War Homefront.

This is the softest, prettiest collection of 1800s fabrics that I have seen in a long time.. I just had to buy them all..

With depth and interest in the prints I know you will fall in love with them too.

I can imagine a frock straight out of "Little Women" in each and every one of these prints.

Available by the metre or in fat quarter and fat eighth packs.

If you are just starting your 1800s reproduction fabric stash, you will want a piece of every fabric in this range.

Fabric packs are available in fat 1/8s and fat 1/4s.

If quilts could talk...

If quilts could talk, this one would say "When I grow up I want to be a biiiig quilt".

And it will be, when Sally has finished it.

Sally joined us this year in the "Welcome To The North Pole" class which took place in 4 sessions over 5 months.

Each participant has their own copy of the book, and made the quilt in strips that could quilted and joined in the quilt-as-you-go style.

We can't wait to see more of the participants' finished quilts. Thank you Sally.

We will close on Christmas Eve at 2pm.

CLOSED 25th December 2009 - 13th January 2010.

Thursday 14th January 10am-3pm OPEN

Friday 15th January 10am - 3pm OPEN

January 18th January -normal trading hours resume 7 days a week (except public holidays).

Web orders made during our time of closing will not be posted until January 18th 2010.

Memory quilt

Lesley made this quilt for her son's birthday.

Lesley used the Surf City fabric to make a quilt incorporating her son's love of surfing and fishing.

She printed fabrics onto the Inkjet fabric that goes through your printer, and is then soft and washable -perfect to incorporate into quilts.

What a fantastic quilt...

I especially love the label which says "If you don't like your present, can I have it?". LOL!!

I don't think you will be getting the quilt back Lesley!
