Olivia - just famous

Olivia the pig - isn't she cute? Starting in children's books, and now with a TV show.

This fabric range "Olivia TV" celebrates Olivia the pig. Don't miss our on this panel to make a quilt, or play mat or soft book for your favourite little girl.

Carol's UFO sessions

Jan (pictured left) started to make her beginner sampler with Carol (pictured right)... until she became sidetracked by the French Braid quilt. (Luckily, Carol teaches both UFO sessions and beginner classes for the quilting novice)...

It is a truly ginormous quilt. I just can't fit in the entire quilt in shop space for a photo.

This quilt definitely needs to be professionally quilted. It will hang down the sides of the queen bed, that's for sure.

The colourstream fabric (changing from purple to fuschia to pink) is available in store.

We just received some new batik strip packs (2.5inch strips) perfect for making French braids like this quilt.

It's Rosalie Quinlan's "Advent Angel"!!This is a photo of Rosalie's completed quilt. We are using slightly warmer colours - we will reveal very soon!

Annie has started making a shop sample. These 2 stitcheries make up month one.

Numbered pockets will be appliqued to the angel dresses.

I just love Annie's work. I'm sure we will all follow Annie's progress keenly.

Just calculating prices, I will update this post when I have finished calculating.

Linda's QAYG table runner

Watch the birdie!! See the little bird in the centre of Linda's table runner?

It didn't take long for Linda to complete this Quilt-As-You-Go table runner after a half day class!!

Stained Glass Angel wallhanging class

A first for Rhonda

This is Rhonda's first completed miniature quilt top. What an achievement! Would you believe she started making quilts just over one year ago? I am so proud of you Rhonda.

Mini, Mini, Mini

Wow! Look at all these miniature quilts! Rosie has caught up with her homework well and truly...The top one reminds me of confetti - these 1800s fabrics look very clear and bright. Here are Rosie's 4 finished quilts together - how fantastic!!

I can't wait to see the next one too Rosie. Five more to go - we are learning miniature quilts in class once a month. Would you like to join our next programme?

Kim used the "Still" panel by Lorelei to make this fantastic quilt top for her 13yo neice.The colours are bright and strong. What an achievement Kim, it would have been just like a big jigsaw puzzle. I am so proud of you!!

Annette's applique sampler

This is Annette pictured with her completed applique sampler!! In a class with Carol, Annette learned about 10 different types of hand applique and put them all into practise.
The centre block is made using her favourite method (blanket-stitch at the moment), with some dimensional flowers.
I love the red and white fabrics from Chelsea Manor.

Lisa already brought her table runner in to show us!! It just needs the binding. Wow! Your fabric choices are gorgeous!

Isn't it great to have a fast finish every now and then? Lisa will be well and truly ready for Christmas!!

Christmas in August begins!!

Well, it has officially started! Christmas In August at Quilter's Bazaar has lots of us preparing for Christmas with plenty of time to finish our projects!Annie popular Quilt As You Go (QAYG) tablerunner participants obtained some stunning results. I think they will all be finished by this evening (as long as the participants can sit down at their sewing machine.

With all the organising done, and the pieces marked and centred, the other side of the runner is going to grow very, very quickly!!

I am so proud...

I am so proud of Sue, pictured here with her French Collection quilt.

Sue collected the Robyn Allen-Waters stitchery blocks as part of a Block Of The Month with us during 2008.

This year she started to join them into a quilt using our exclusive quilt pattern designed by Lorraine for Quilter's Bazaar.

Then Sue attended UFO classes here at the Quilter's Bazaar to learn basteing and free-motion quilting.

The binding is complete, and the buttons are all attached.

What an achievement Sue! I am so proud of you. Thank you for sharing with us.

French Braid Crazy!

Carika enjoyed the Fast French Braid class so much, she has already finished TWO French Braid quilt tops in only a couple of weeks!!

This quilt top is made using the Lumiere De Noel jelly roll, and is off for quilting by Wilma.

Sue loves stitchery

Sue A. loves stitchery!! Instead of more redwork, she chose to do some "greenwork". Don't these stitcheries look smashing combined with fabrics from Rural Jardin and Cherish Nature?Sue came along to one of our Friday morning UFO sessions to construct the quilt centre.
