Crimson and Clover
Crimson and Clover... isn't that a song? That's going to bug me for a while now...
I love this little selection from Jo Morton's Crimson and Clover fabric range. Reduced to only $19 per metre!!

The chrome yellow, poison green, cheddar orange and turkey red are the epitomy of 1840s-1850s fabrics...
Mmmm... I think I will have a little bit of each one for myself.
Available by the metre or in fat eighth packs or in fat quarter packs.

Fresh Specials In Store and On The Web
We've just added these fresh specials to our website - reduced from $25 per metre to $19 per metre while stocks last.

Hampton is a Civil War reproduction fabric range designed by Jo Morton with the International Quilt Study Centre (that would be in Nebraska, not Australia). Click the link to see the entire range.
These prints are inspired by fabric in actual quilts at the Quilt Study Centre.
You will love the attention to detail.
We've made fabric packs containing fat eighths and fat quarters. Fat eighths are perfect for adding little pieces to your stash or your Civil War projects where you want a variety of fabrics to replicate the vintage scrappy look.

Little Women Update
These little baskets were made in the last Jo's Little Women Club session for the year. Each basket will be one of 9 in small quilts.
Each block was made by a different person for their own quilt. The finished size of the block is only 4 inches.

Jo's Little Women Club update
This is where the Club members attending classes in the shop should be up to this month.
Now they are adding a border of flying geese.

Little Women's business
Latest update on the Little Women Club quilts. This is how the quilts should look so far.
This pupil needed a little nudge with the applique (after missing the applique class)..but we sorted it out, and won't this look stunning?

Another pupil up to date...

I love viewing the same layout in different fabrics. I find it fascinating!

Haven't they all chosen well with the fabrics in the outer triangles?

There is another story with this one... the participant cut the original applique block too small, and after she appliqued half of it, she realised her mistake and re-made the centre for class.

In retrospect, I would have added an extra border... but is it worth unpicking this to replace the original centre? We will let Heather decide what she wants to do.
We are all looking forward to seeing the Little Quilts in the next series of Jo's Little Women's Club quilts.

Jo's Little Women Club
We have been running Jo's Little Women Club in store and online.
What is it? In store participants purchase a stack of 25 Jo Morton reproduction fabric fat quarters. Then, for only $5 each month they attend a class and receive the next pattern in the Club series.
Do you remember the strippy quilts made in the first month? These applique blocks are the centre of the medallion quilt.
Judy and Allison finished their "homework" in time, using only Jo Morton prints and went into the draw for a $25 gift voucher.

New fabric in store!!
We love Jo Morton's fabrics - and we just received her latest range of 1800s reproduction fabrics. This is the Seneca Shirtings range. What are shirtings?
Now available by the metre, or in fat eighth packs or fat quarter packs.
Shirtings were used to make both dresses and women's blouses in the 1800s - Jane Austen-type dresses were always made of these kind of prints, even though they appear to be all white or cream. Shirtings are good light value fabrics to use with your stash of Civil War and 1800s reproduction fabrics.

Now available by the metre, or in fat eighth packs or fat quarter packs.
