Kellee's first quilt

Yes, Kellee came to us to learn beginner's machine piecing with Carol (see our class list on the side bar).... and

Yes, she has been making sampler blocks....

But, this is her first absolutely finished quilt. Made from a bali pop (same amount of fabric as in a jelly roll, but with batik prints).

Rosemary's plane quilt

Rosemary worked on this quilt during our Friday morning UFO classes. (That's UnFinished Objects for the uninitiated)... Quilted by Wilma at Deep Creek Quilting - the clouds around the planes are perfect. Quilting really does make the quilt special.

Join us for fun times and social interactions during UFO sessions - and of course - an experienced tutor will help you with your latest project!!

Thanks for sharing your quilt with us Rosemary.

Ballerina Monkey

I wonder what the equivalent feminine name is for Magoo?

Annie, we love your Mageena (or whatever her name is)...

The aboriginal fabric print adds texture and variation in her "fur".

She is soooo pretty!!! Thank you for sharing your show and tell.

Please, pretty please, bring in your show and tell too...

French Braid Transformation by Jane Hardy Miller - the stunning 3rd installment in the french braid frenzy.

Fat Quarter Winners by Monique Dillard. Okay, so you collect fat quarters... or you bought a pack of irresistible fat quarters - now what do you do with them?? You cut them up without wasting a skerrick, by following Monique's instructions. 11 quilt patterns for under $2.50 per pattern - can you beat that value?

New from Piece'O'Cake designs - Fresh Picked Posies. These patterns are so liberating... perfect for beginning to applique (because who can tell if you there is a mistake in these free-form designs???)

Create an "almost-Amish" look with Kim Schaeffer's Quilts From Textured Solids. 20 projects combining tone on tones and textured solid prints in modern tones - piecing and applique projects.

Laura Lee-Fritz adds another book to her machine quilting repertoire: 250 New Continuous-Line Quilting Designs.

Domestic machine quilters (and mid-arm and long-arm quilters) will love these designs - add interest and focus to your quilt - quilting really does make the quilt. The designs flow in a continuous way to prevent the need for thread cutting and ending off.

And now we can show you...

Amanda made this quilt for her dearly beloved's birthday.

It's the "Argyle" quilt from the book Kaleidoscope by Melly and Me.

Amanda blended fresh and masculine fabrics together - and it looks fantastic.

You can talk to Amanda in store every Saturday. Our new weekend staff are great fun, and very helpful.
